almost free... liberated souls

Hello there,
I'm so so soooo sorry for not having written anything for ages, but after all the school stuff I'm just so exhausted that I can't come up with something worth posting. I've been sketching a lot lately and of course I followed the Milan Fashion Week whenever I had the time to, but after that I immediately fall asleep...
My sewing machine is sleeping for quite a while now, since I haven't even sewed the cape, though it's only a few lines. I'm struggeling with myself to create a collumn about myself: who I am and where I want to go, due to many of you having "complained" about my blog being so impersonal. On the one hand I can totally understand that statement, but on the other hand is everything you see on my blog, everything I created and get inspired by, what I am.
It's not only a passion for fashion, this is my soul and there is no plan B.
I'm not one of these "Hollister"-wearing chicks that suddenly come up with the idea of becoming a fashion-designer because it's oh so hip.
Fashion is freaking art and deserves to be treated like that.

Now coming to the photos...
Exactly! The shoulderpad is the one I introduced to you in the following posting:
BUT I added black artificial feathers to it, because it gave me the impression of something between a raven's wing beat and a human, a little Krabat inspired, I guess.

In hindsight I think it would've been cooler to have two shoulder pads, but anyway...
What do you think?

August Sketches Vol. II

I didn't photoshop them.
I photographed the first one through my hair so to speak, by coincidence...
My pastell crayons came today, 72 by Jaxell.
Thus there will be tons of drawings the next few days, thaha<3

Which one do you like best? I'd like to know, because I want one of them to be im my folder for the fashion design school...

Night Lights & Books

Still working on the latest photos of the trial-shoot,
I paused to drive through the night together with my Mum a few days ago.
But unfortunately the photos aren't the only thing I need to work on, to do:
reading reports...for school.
I love the books I've chosen for the reports, but I hate wasting my time to write
why I chose them and how the characters develop throughout the book.
one of my favourtie scenes from Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451"

Peacock en vogue

A few weeks ago I came across a really pretty Eye-Make-Up inspired by peacock feathers.
I totally love it!

Do you like it, do you think it's a little too avantgarde ?

Dazed & Confused [Coco Rocha]

Photography: Gregory Harris
Styling: Aeri Yun
Hair: Dennis Gots
Make-up: Karen Franjola

Not only is she one of my very favourite models, she is also very dedicated when it comes to charity work, which I admire so much. She never forgets that there are two sides of the world.
One side of it can be marveled at the magazine "Dazed& Confused", where Coco is on the cover again!
She just posted the scans yesterday on her tumblr blog: http://oh-so-coco.tumblr.com/
The final one is my very favourite, because to me everything is perfect in this photo: from her sensual expression and the top to her "Barbara Streisand hands" as she calls them.
The editorial shoot is really worth a watch!

Whoever is luckily enough to live in the U.S. can go and see her on Thursday at FASHION'S NIGHT OUT  at MACY'S, Z SPOKE and TOPSHOP(Chanel Iman will be there too!!!).
The exact Coco-schedule can be looked up on her blog btw.
I'd love to go there, but unfortunately I can't...

»AMERICAN HYSTERIAAA«

On the shore dimly seen
Thru the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host
In dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze,
O'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows,
Half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam,
Of the morning's first beam
In full glory reflected,
Now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner:
O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free
And the home of the brave!

Model: L.Young(yep, her again ♥)
Styling/Make-Up: me
Top: by me
Sunglasses,
shorts&bracelet: private
Shoes: Shoe Fashionista London

I hope you like the photos! It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun in the studio! One shouldn't forget that this was only a trial shoot to try out poses, light and other equiptment, so there are not many editorial ideas in the photos.
I'd appreciate you opinion in the comment box sooo much!
